Racing to Save Corals

The Global Coral Microbiome Project is a collaboration between OSU scientists and students, plus academic, government and community partners around the world. Studying the microbial communities that live with corals can lead to solutions and understanding of the unfolding coral reef crisis, with these ecosystems facing human pressures like climate change, pollution and overfishing.

Working with the NSF, we created this series to highlight their work, which eventually became the feature film Saving Atlantis, narrated by Peter Coyote.
